Sweet chilli sauce with natto

1 tbsp (toasted) sesame seed oil, 2 red onions (sliced into half moons), ½ sweet red pepper (in fine strips), ½ chilli pepper (in fine strips), 1 tbsp dark miso, 3 tbsp water, 3 tbsp De Hobbit natto (or lupin natto), fresh green herbs (optional)


Place a small saucepan on a low heat. Add the oil and sauté the onions for approximately ten minutes. Add the sweet pepper, chilli pepper and 3 tbsp of water. Leave to simmer for a further 10 minutes. Turn off the heat. Carefully mix in the natto and the miso. Serving tip: Top with a few green leaves.
